As part of our ongoing social consciousness effort here at Mindjet, we are continuing to give back to our communities in any way possible. In the latest act of giving, two of our team members, Tom Pearson and Steve Hodgson took the Polar Bear Plunge this past Sunday to raise awareness—and funds—for the Northern California Special Olympics branch. Enduring the frigid waters of the Bay, the dynamic duo (pictured below) dove in amongst the festive swimmers and raised over $730 together. This contributed to more than $4,000 raised by Tom’s Team and over $165,000 raised, collectively, in Northern California on that day alone. All said, the money raised, and the symbolism of the event, is important to support the athletes of Special Olympics. A really, really good cause.
The polar Bear Plunge is an event which is run in 30 cities across the US with all of the Proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics. Tom and I participated in the San Francisco event at Chrissy Field on Saturday. Here is a link to find out more info on the event Click Here
