Update: The map has been updated to include all of the medal winners and final medal count.

We have an exciting new map for you all today. Based on the heels of our Super Bowl map we have created a new visualization for your viewing pleasure. Today’s map is for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics . As you can imagine with an event as big as the Olympics the amount of information is quickly overwhelming. However, with this map you are easily able to see everything you need in an easy to digest format.

If you are a fan of the Olympics or know anyone who is this is the map for you. It will be updated regularly with the recent medal winners so you will be able to keep up with the goings on.

    Looks like Russia has not won enough medals for the government.
    President Medvedev has asked the country's sports officials to
    resign. Kind of scary. What happens to these guys now? Do
    they get sent to Siberia?

      I certainly hope not. Since the USA won a record number of medals, maybe they could share some, and put the officials back in the good graces of President Medvedev and not shunned to Siberia.
