Happy birthday to me! Not today, but tomorrow.

It’s so nice of Steve Jobs to rearrange the schedule of the new Mac operating system, Snow Leopard, to release in time for my birthday! It’s not so nice for our developers who are actively looking into an integration issue between Snow Leopard and MindManager 7 for Mac.

Stay tuned, our development team is investigating the cause of the issue and we’ll publish an update ASAP!

Here’s some other news to keep your mind off snow (leopards). It’s still summer anyways!

  • Be More Productive with Power Markers: Chuck Frey provides a quick review of a very useful MindManager (Windows) add-in for 7 & 8. Summarized well, “Power Markers helps to make the critical information in your mind maps visible and actionable.” Try it or buy here — I recommend it!
  • Frame Your Images in MindManager: Andrew Wilcox demonstrates how to frame an image inside your map for great impact.
  • Research Mapping: Avid Idea Mapper, Larisa Brigevich, is exploring ways to best use MindManager to visualize information research and distribution activities. Any suggestions for Larisa?
  • Business Integration of Social Media Marketing: Ah, had to throw this one in. I’ve been enjoying recently a wide variety of map-like visualizations used in the media. Here’s a map of social media! Have you mapped out your engagement with social media yet? It can be very revealing.
  • 100 Reasons to Mind Map: And finally, Paul Foreman lists 100 reasons to mind map! What are yours?

Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I know I will… Did I mention it was my birthday?
