  1. Thanks JWU & JEA. Yes, Mindjet is still committed to both the Tablet PC and the Mac platform. The product team is exploring all opportunities (Mac, Tablet, iPHone, etc…) and developing plans to grow our products and strengthen our relevance in both the business and education market. I’ve forwarded your comments to the product & marketing team to ensure they are considered in our planning.

    More, Mr. Raskin:

And tell me why you dont have a MindJet app for the iPhone.

    Mr. Raskin,

You might want to take a serious look at the number of Millennials (born after 1982) in the market: currently 50 million of voting age, and scheduled to be 92 million by 2016.

Sixty percent of them use Macs in college, not Windows. [They may be forced to use Windows at work if they are working for 20th C companies, but work is not a consuming issue as it was for their parents.] And they use programs like Twitter, a social network version of GyroQ if there ever was one.

You’re nutz not to be marketing to them. Check out LiveScribe’s Pulse Pen and integrate it as a file input AND EXPORT method as well.

Do you understand the market for mind-mapping in the college educational market worldwide? Hell, I was an early adopter of mind-mapping by hand in college and I can still “see” those courses and books in my head. When I reduced them and glued them into purloined blue examination books, best cheating method EVER.

Hope Mindjet is still committed to meeting the needs of a whole slew of your faithful Tablet PC/Ink users. For those that do much inking in MM (some of the un-addressed inking issues):
    - inked topics are not converted into the player/SWF.PDF (not even as non-editable graphics)–just blank topic boxes
    - inked topic is not automatically converted to text when using the Search feature
    - inked Notes are not included in MM’s Search function (now, if Mindjet could only incorporate an ink/image aware Search engine as strong as the one in EverNote3)!

PLEASE address the inking issues ASAP.

  5. Mike & MB, thanks for your questions.

Yes, Mindjet is committed to MindManager Mac. The product team is continuously evaluating product requirements and we’ve been hearing a lot recently from our Mac users.

You can contribute specific requests by using our Contact Support form which can be found here: https://www.mindjet.com/app/support.aspx. At the moment though, we cannot make public any timeframes associated with releases in our product roadmap. Again, thanks for your input!

Sounds great. Is MindManager for the Mac dead?

  7. Mike S. says:

Have you completely abandoned the Mac platform?
