    PathologyMindMap.com

Mindjet customer, Hooman H. Rashidi MD, a Chief Resident of Surgical Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Yale University’s School of Medicine, New Haven Hospital just contacted us about his recent work in the medical field, which we wanted to share with you.

Mr. Rashidi’s work involves him incorporating MindManager maps into his site, PathologyMindMap.com. The MindManager maps can be found by clicking on either area of interest seen on the homepage: Surgical Pathology or Laboratory Medicine and expanding out from there. Many are already linked to MindManager maps, such as this map of a B-cell Lymphomas and Leukemias Immunoprofile Algorithm

Check out his site and please share with any MindManager users you may know in the medical community.

Manage Messages from your Yahoo! Groups Better with Grouply

I wanted to pass on a nice tip offered by Yahoo! MindManager Users Group member, Michele Edwards. If you’re a member of several Yahoo! User Groups, a new service called Grouply, can help you better manage them.

I just tried signing in to check it out for the first time and it seemed pretty simple and efficient. All the service asks is that you supply your Yahoo! User ID and password along with your first and last name. Then it syncs up your messages associated with your Yahoo! groups (I’m in 7) allowing you to better:

View new activity in each group and quickly access the most recent messages posted

View the most active, highly rated or most often bookmarked threads in each group

Post post new messages to any group from within Grouply

Meet new group members and popular authors

Set up a profile for others to meet you and begin networking

For more information on joining the Yahoo! MindManager Users Group (which just surpassed 4,000 members), click here.

Thanks again for the tip, Michele!

Open Love Letter to MindManager 7

It’s quite fitting that Mindjet came across a love letter, from MindManager customer Celine, just in time for Valentine’s day.

Written from the heart, Celine romantically begins: "Dear Mindjet MindManager 7, Yes, your name is a bit long, but I take pleasure in typing it, saying it, enjoying the sound of each syllable. The alliterative M’s echo what I state in my mind when I think of you, which is, of course, “mmm!” and goes on to call us "User-friendly", "Web-friendly" and "Beautiful", even.

Celine, it was "love at first central topic" with our customers, too. And to return the affection, our Customer Advocacy team created a Valentine’s Day Slideshow Tribute of our most passionate users we love interacting with.

    View the Slideshow Tribute now

To continue to spread the love, we’ll be giving away a Mindjet t-shirt or fleece vest to the first 10 people to send us their MindManager love note to:vignette@mindjet.com. Just be sure to include your t-shirt/vest size and a shipping address with phone number! And when you write please (be it today or any other day!) drop us a line at the above email address to either introduce yourself or just touch base to send your thoughts, feedback and ideas.

    Happy Valentine’s Day

Visualizing Social Media Networks in MindManager

MindManager customer and social media guru, Andrew Shuttleworth, recently mapped out all his social media networks- from social networking/bookmarking communities (example: Facebook, Digg, Del.icio.us) to photos (Flickr) to video (YouTube, Blip.TV) to to his favorite websites and blogs (RSS feeds) and microblogs (Twitter, Utterz) to business contacts to lifecasting and even events he attends.

As Josh Catone, from Read Write Web, concludes "The result is a staggering view of how information we put on the web flows."

Andrew’s take away from the experience?

"Overall, it was very helpful to see an overview of how my online information flows. I managed to get rid of some redundant channels along the way and am in a good position to consolidate and make sensible decisions about how to share information from now on."
