<description>Well, it was one of these coincidents... Last week when I attended an event of the German American Business Association (GABA) in Palo Alto about Electric Vehicles and Biofuels I got to talk about not just one but two subjects I'm very passionate about - Alternative Energy Sources *and* Mindmaps.

After the panel discussion I ran into Linda from Mindjet Marketing who is also active in GABA's Cleantech Group and we talked about the great event (see her report I'm commenting on). When we exchanged business cards I told her that I'm a big fan of Mindmaps and Mindjet's MindManager.

Throughout my time in college and my career I have been using Mindmaps to document and visualize my very own thoughts and also my discussions with others. And while Mindjet hasn't invented the Mindmap (they go back thousands of years) Mindjet has done a great job in turning this concept into a wonderful piece of Software that helps boost the productivity of businesses around the world.

In our company we use MindManager in many different ways: to support creative thinking, to document meetings, to draw orgcharts or to write todo lists. Some say I'm crazy (for instance my wife), but I sometimes even use it at home to make all kinds of lists - guest lists, shopping lists, even wish lists.

At events like the GABA discussion last week Mindmaps are a great way to take notes. It turned out to be a great evening with the chance to share about our passion for Mindmaps and Alternative Energy Sources - what a combination. The message here? Go out and use more Mindmaps! It might even help save the Planet.
