Upcoming Webinar: 4 Easy Steps to Service-Oriented Project Management

Join Mindjet on March 7th for our webinar with PMP and author, Jerry Manas, "4 Easy Steps to Service-Oriented Project Management."

Manas will discuss implementation of a four-phased approach to Service-Oriented Project Management: Understand, Prepare, Iterate, and Transform. As opposed to beginning projects with a set of requirements, service-oriented project management begins with a set of symptoms or ideas from which the project leadership can work with the client and other constituents – to derive requirements.

Moving on from Mindjet

I just wanted to send a short note (well, pretty short — considering I won’t have to run this past an editor) to all of you who I have met (or not! :o ) through the Mindjet Blog … to let you know that as of Feb. 16 I am leaving Mindjet to work for a company here in my home town of Boise, Idaho effective.

I will have been at Mindjet for about 5 1/2 years–and it has been a great ride. We have seen the company grow tremendously in that time. I was the 16th hire in the U.S.: We now have more than 100. When I first started working for Minjet as a contractor, the company was working out of a collection of small offices in the "quaint" bayside town of Sausalito: We now have a huge modern office Mindjet itself designed in the heart of San Francisco. At the same time, our revenues have grown by more than 600% and MindManager has become, while not exactly a household name, certainly one that is becoming more and more familiar to more and more people around the world. The best evidence of that is that in the years I have worked here we have actually begun to see top-tier media seeking US out! What a great change that is! :o ) And the things that Mindjet comes out with in the next year and a half or so will accelerate this process tremendously.

So I want to thank you all for all the feedback and support you have shown Mindjet and the Mindjet Blog(s). One of the great things about working here as been knowing that we are not selling just another piece of technology. I think all of us here at Mindjet believe strongly in the (unofficial) mission of Mindjet: to create software that actually makes people’s lives more creative and productive–to help people have work lives that are not just more efficient, but more fun.

I hope your use of MindManager has done a bit of this for you, and that you will continue to introduce people in your world to the world of mapping!

Thanks again and best of luck to you all!
