Mindjet Makes the CRN Top 100 Emerging Vendors List

This just in from Cathi O’Sullivan, Mindjet Channel Marketing Manager:

“Computer Reseller News Magazine (CRN) recently released their list of the top 100 Emerging Vendors. This list is a directory of technology companies that are working to ensure sales success by aligning with the solution provider channel. Vendors were nominated by solution providers themselves, and were required to meet specific criteria.

Mindjet Corporation is proud to be among the select group of companies who were included in this distinguished list. Mindjet was chosen, in part, for its recent launch of a value-based Global Partner Program to recruit VARs, system integrators and solution providers whose existing products, services, and/or business expertise complement Mindjet solutions.

Being selected for this list is a big step for Mindjet, as it acknowledges our commitment to growth via the channel, and to customer satisfaction. Click on one of these links for more information on the Emerging Vendor list and the Mindjet Global Partner Program.”

Congratulations to Anisa Riddell, our Distribution Channel Sales Manager, Dale Taomino, our Global Partner Program Manager, to Cathi and to everyone at Mindjet.

What would a Mindjet online community look like?

I would be interested in hearing what you think would be some of the key elements of the Mindjet online community of the future. We are always looking for better ways to get MindManager users together–with each other, with new users–and with new content. For instance, Michael Scherotter has recently relaunched the Mindjet Labs at http://mindjetlabs.com/cs/ and has gotten great response. In terms of building community, the Labs provides forums where people of like interest can congregate. Have you checked them out? Is there a forum for you? (If not, let me know and we can start one.)

We know very well that there are many many MindManager users out there: How they use MindManager is as diverse as the users themselves. We’d love to be able to engage in a more vibrant dialog with all of you and think an online community will help. Do you agree? Do you work with other products whose companies are doing a good job of "delighting you" (as one writer puts it)?

For various technical reasons, I am migrating this conversation over to my new blog, Hobart’sMindjet Blog II, located inside the Mindjet Labs blog. Please feel free to come on over and join in the conversation!

Jamie Nast book on “idea mapping” a big hit!

A new book by "idea mapping" expert and longtime Mindjet friend Jamie Nast was recently released by the estimable John Wiley & Sons publishers (which also published MindManager for Dummies).  The first printing of Idea Mapping: How to Access Your Hidden Brain Power, Learn Faster, Remember More, and Achieve Success in Business (Hardcover) was snapped up in a flash, so Wiley is now on its second printing.

"Idea Mapping" provides an excellent guide to using mapping to accomplish a number of key business-related tasks. With lots of MindManager Pro 6 maps–and a MindManager Pro 6 Trial CD in every book–this is an excellent way to introduce your colleagues and friends to mapping!

From 1992 until 2006 Jamie directed Buzan Centres USA and was the only Senior Master Trainer representing Buzan Centres world-wide for mind mapping and other mental literacy skills. During that time she mentored over 15,000 people world-wide towards better mental productivity and certified 109 Qualified Buzan Instructors from 24 countries. She also wrote the Think, Learn & Create Workshop instructor training manual for the Buzan Centres. In other words, she knows from whence she speaks.

Jamie also provides intensive training in "idea mapping." Check out her courses at http://www.ideamappingsuccess.com/courses.cfm.

Grab one of her books while there are still some left!

Take a look at the New Mindjet Labs

I am happy to announce today that we have a brand new Mindjet Labs site at http://mindjetlabs.com/cs/ that I think/hope people will find much more interesting, useful and engaging. We have new process-specific forums, the ability to subscribe to only the information that interests you, new forums–and even new blogs, including my newly resurrected "Hobart’s Mindjet Blog (II)". Of course, being a new site, there are many areas that are set to grow–particularly the forums. Check them out and, if you are so inclined, get the party started! :)
