Last night Mindjet hosted the first MindManager Monday event in our beautiful new headquarters in San Francisco. The event brought out a lot of enthusiastic MindManager users as well as a few people who were curious about the product.
Everyone enjoyed a few snacks and drinks before heading in to hear Jamie Nast, author of Idea Mapping, speak about the power and potential of mapping. After Jamie’s presentation the group broke into smaller clusters to get some hands-on time with MindManager and have a more personalized demonstration. We found some of our work was taken care of for us by experienced MindManager users who shared their experiences and knowledge with the rest of the crowd!
Some of the most popular ‘discoveries’ in the breakout sessions were:
- Importing information from Outlook; contact info, calendars, emails
- Creating relationship filters by placing a call-out-topic on a relationship link that designates the priority or status (ex. 1,2,3, or complete/incomplete)
- The Inspector window in MindManager 6 Mac that contains all map markers, task information and formatting options, in one easy to access point.
A big thank you to everyone who came out! Based on the interest generated for this event we’re already planning for another session (possibly quarterly). We’ll make sure to let you know what our plans are, and post the updates on the blog.
