This is a historic day for Mindjet. Today, we launched our first ever Mac version of MindManager, Mindjet MindManager 6 Mac!
Our Customer Service and Support team has received numerous requests over the years from our customers to create a Mac version. 18 months ago, when we started this project, we decided not to do just a port of our Windows version of MindManger to the Mac, but rather to create a native Mac application with a "Mac-like" interface built from the ground up in Apple’s Cocoa, an object-oriented application environment designed for developing Mac OS X native applications. MindManager 6 Mac is a Universal application for the Mac that runs great on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs.

A important feature in our Mac version was to make sure that the file format, .mmap, is cross-platform compatible with our Windows versions. Maps that are created on Windows can be opened and edited on MindManager 6 Mac and vice versa allowing teams to work together even if they are on separate platforms.
We are excited to bring this version to the Mac community and invite you to download it and try it out!

I have been using Mindmaneger proffesional 6 and payed for upgrades. I love the program, however once my Mindmager suddenly stopped to function – the support was awful – I got to replies, but couldnt get it back working but nobody wants to help me out. This is really bad! If I dont get assisance with this very soon – I will turn into a very angry X-mind manger users, and let others know abou the sucking support too. Your program is great – and expensive the least you can do for me is to make it work…

Ah finally a real reason to switch to Mac, and well before Tinderbox for WIndows gives me a reason to stay on Windows!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Did I say “thank you?”
Another reason not to run Windows via Parallels or Boot Camp.
Thank you!
By the way, on the Intel Core Duo this runs EXTREMELY fast.
Thank you again!
(And building on an earlier comment, as sombody who plunked down a lot of cash for the full version of MM for the PC, it would be nice to have an upgrade discount on the Mac version.)

Thank you so much!! You just made me extremely happy. I have been waiting with great anticipation for this moment and cannot wait to start using the Mac version of MindManager.
Regards
Theo
Ps. I don’t mind paying for an additional license for the Mac version. If it helps fund and support your Mac efforts, I’m all for it.

This is great news!
Unofrtunately I understand you are not offering any upgrade option for those users who intend to switch from a PC to a Mac (as I am).

I’ve been using Mindjet’s products on the PC for years, always enjoying them very much.
By pure coincidence, today my first Mac will be delivered to me.
Guess what will be the first application I’ll install?
Thanks for the good news!
Eugenio
