The State of Web 2.0

Technorati Tag(s): , , — April 3, 2006 @ 7:28 am

Now that Web 2.0 has made the cover of Newsweek, bloggers are debating over the term Web 2.0 and what it actually stands for. While some argue that “The new Internet ‘boom’ doesn’t live up to its name,”  put the “boom” in quotation-marks, and suggest that Web 2.0 is just a silly label that some self-proclaimed thought leaders came up with, others defend the transformational character of a new breed of sites and applications. One of them is Dion Hinchcliffe, who has posted an excellent overview of the "State of Web 2.0" on his Web 2.0 (sic!) blog.
