CeBIT or Springtime in Germany…

Technorati Tag(s): , , , , , — March 17, 2006 @ 5:23 pm

I finally had my white Christmas although it was in March. I just spent a week in Germany, my home country, and suffered from a surprising return of winter, from flying into snow and chaotic conditions at the airport to flying out of snow and chaotic conditions. In fact, I almost missed my flight back home because the Berlin-Tegel airport (most likely the worst capital airport in the world) possesses just one de-icing machine, which led to a lot of delays.

Anyway, the rough conditions didn’t keep 450,000 professionals and cosumers as well as 6,262 exhibitors from attending this year’s CeBIT - the wold’s largest consumer electronics trade show in Hannover, Germany. As in previous years, Mindjet was present with a booth, many interactive "bigger-than-life" maps (see below) and accompanied by many of its European partners. The days and nights were long and the number of sick employees grew by the hour :)

Here are some impressions (thanks Carmen!):

Oh…..and then there was the Microsoft press conference……
