A Topography of Blogs
Granted that MindManager shows the topography of the mind, what do we make of Blog Maps?
Andrew McNeill is not only fond of Mindjet, but also made me discover FeedMap.
Based on Microsoft’s MapPoint Technology, FeedMap allows you to geo-code your blog, browse already geo-coded blogs all over the world, and search for blogs that are run in your neighborhood. Once you add a geo-code to your blog’s feed, you can get your own BlogMap location using a simple URL that allows you to network with your local bloggers.
In this context, Mike Liebold and Alex Reid discuss the dawn of a "geo-spatial web" (incl. the danger of "geo-spatial SPAM").
Here’s a BlogMap of Larkspur, CA, where Mindjet is headquartered. Zoom in at the 101 at San Rafael - can you see the Mindjet blog?
