MindMaps and CRM

Now there's an Oxymoron if ever I read it.Customer Relationship Management system and a MindMap.And I don't even have to say anything I just need to quote this:Go and look at any CRM system - for the most part there

The original remark was "Writing about music is like dancing about architecture", and it's usually attributed to Elvis Costello, although Frank Zappa and Laurie Anderson have also been credited....

Anyway, it also applies, though IMO less so, to art.
But there have been some great works written about both music and art, viz:

The Foundations of Modern Art, by Ozenfant

The Magic of Tone and the Art of Music, in my opinion the most profound book about music. See it online at:
http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/mt/

Excuse the digression...

I think Tony Goodson is missing the point with his oxymoron comment about Mindmaps and CRM - mapping is a great way to visualize information in order to see the big picture and gain a faster understand of the issues. Until now mind mapping required users to enter the information by hand. What Mindjet is doing is exploiting the power of mapping for information that exists in a database - in this case a customer database. In this instance MindManager now becomes a sales productivity tool helping sales teams 'rise' about the wealth of information in their CRM system enabling them to see what's really happening in their accounts.
