I think Wiki’s are an interesting new deployment – as they potentially offer an improved approach for intra-team communication particulary using RSS channeled info-feeds to team members.

However the paradigm is essentially an editable web-site so it is unclear how they fundamentally change the way teams design and communicate information in a collaboration environment.

“But what happens when the information is in flux, i.e. its changing as a consequence of a creation or time-based process, when there’s a team of people involved, when its complex? That is when communication is an integral part of production – what do we do then?”

How about Wiki with an RSS feed?

    Tim,

Interesting question – what are blogs really? My sense is that at the moment they offer unstructured pseudo conversations in an electronic ‘space’ – an inter-blog dialogue I heard it called recently. How blogs evolve as a business tool and what part they may play in collaborative workflows remains to be seen.

  4. Thanks for the interesting approach. What about blogs – aren’t they also a great medium for addressing semi-structured information?
